2026-2027 Kindergarten Registration happening now!

The Mobridge-Pollock Music Department will host SDMEA Festival Choir on Monday, March 2 at the Edge Event Center. Mobridge is one of seven Festival Choir sites around the state of South Dakota hosting the event for singers in grades 4, 5, and 6 whose directors are members of the National Association for Music Education. The Mobridge event will bring together 93 singers from seven different schools including Aberdeen Christian, Agar-Blunt-Onida, Eureka, Herried, Hoven, Lemmon, and Mobridge-Pollock. The singers rehearse from 9:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. and present a concert for the public at 4:00 p.m. at the Edge Event Center. Mobridge-Pollock music teacher Lisa Zahn is the site chair for the event. Sixteen Mobridge-Pollock singers in grades 4, 5, and 6 will participate. Lindsey Torgerson, Associate Choral Director at Rapid City Central High School, is this year's guest conductor and Nancy McClellan of Mobridge is the accompanist. Doors open at 3:45, and the public is invited to attend the concert at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, March 2. A suggested donation of $5 per person is requested. The statewide event is sponsored by the South Dakota Music Education Association.

Region 6 small group music contest has been rescheduled for Wednesday, February 25, 2026. The schedule will remain the same, but some of the rooms will change. School will be in session for all students in grades K-12 that day. Volunteers are needed to open/close doors during the contest. Anyone who is willing to help can email Mrs. Zahn or Miss Nemmers.
The LEC will holding their monthly meeting tonight at 6:00 PM in the High School.
All Mobridge Pollock Schools will be closed today due to no travel advisory issued by the Walworth County Sheriff's Association Until 3 :00 PM.
Due to the weather, the region 6 small group music contest that was to be held at MPHS today has been postponed. No school for grades 9-12.
